About me

Many of my products are an out-growth of my life-long “green” attitude, and are made from repurposed garments such as jeans and t-shirts, giving new life to clothing that might have otherwise been discarded. As a child of parents who grew up during the Great Depression, I loathe throwing things away.

I learned to sew as a teenager, and created many prom dresses throughout high school. As a young adult, I designed, constructed and sold dresses in the SF East Bay Area. I have pursued fabric arts (sewing, macramé, crochet, knitting, embroidery, tie-dye, batik) throughout my life.

The “zen” of creating with my hands helps to calm me and keep me sane.

Crochet items are made from cotton, wool, bamboo or acrylic/polyester yarns.

I currently create many items: aromatherapy rice “buddies” for either hot or cold therapy, wine cork trivets, and microwave “cozy pads” to prevent burned fingers. I also have a vast array of crochet items: hats, scarves, shawls, fingerless mitts, boot toppers, leg warmers, headbands, full-size afghans, baby afghans and “cocoons”, baby hats and booties. Flannel blankets and wraps with your favorite professional sports team logo are available, as well as “pussy grabber” hats, headbands and hatbands for the politically motivated in the age of Trump.
